Boho Breeding Program
As dog lovers, it is important to us that the welfare of our breeding dogs and all of our puppies is our first priority. As such we have designed our breeding program to align with the RSPCA’s standards for responsible breeders and abide by the strict, ethical code of practice.
Below are some of the features of our program that set us apart from other breeders
Guardianship Program
We don't believe dogs should be kept in a kennel environment, or for the sole purpose of breeding.
All of our dogs are placed in loving guardian homes, where they live as pets with their forever families.
They are valued members of their families, reside indoors, and life full lives.
Extensive Health Testing
All of the dogs in the Boho Oodles breeding program undergo comprehensive genetic health screening for genetic diseases as well as undergoing hip and elbow screening for the risk of dysplasia.

Breeding stock is selected based on their health, temperament, and low-shedding coat.
Limited Litters
Boho mums are not bred until they reach full adult physical development and have had at least one heat cycle.

Once ready for breeding, our mums will only ever have a maximum of three litters before they retire from the breeding program to live out their days with their guardian families.
A Good Fit
​We are passionate about matching each puppy with a forever home that will support and nurture their needs. In return, we believe, this means each new family will get a puppy that fits well with their lifestyle and their own needs.

The Boho Oodles application and the puppy evaluation process allows me to make recommendations on the most suitable puppy for your lifestyle and home environment.
Puppy Development & Early Socialisation
We follow the Empowered Breeders (BAB) curriculum, which takes the puppies through weeks of hands-on exposure and development. Introducing them to new environments, obstacles, noises, stimulation, and handling through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) sets the puppies up for life ahead and allows us to really get to know each pup and their personalities.
Welfare
We work closely with a reproductive veterinary specialist and are guided by their advice when breeding our dogs.
All of our dogs and puppies receive regular health checks, are vaccinated and wormed, and are provided socialisation and enrichment opportunities.

At Boho Oodles we do not subscribe to early desexing, however, all puppies are sold with a desexing contract that requires them to undergo the spay/neuter procedure at an appropriate age.
