Waitlist & Application Process

Deposit & Allocation

​Once approved, a $500 deposit secures your waitlist spot and locks in your puppy’s price. Puppies are allocated based on their personality and suitability for your home environment, however where there is more than one puppy that would be suitable, the new puppy family will have the opportunity to choose their own puppy based on the order the deposit was received.

Breeding & Milestones

• Honeymoon: Mating occurs via AI with the assistance of our reproductive vet. 

• Pregnancy Confirmation: An ultrasound at four weeks confirms pregnancy.

• Reservation: Waitlist families are contacted at this time to inform of the pending litter—if timing isn’t right, you can defer to the next litter.

• Whelping: Puppies arrive about five weeks after pregnancy confirmation. An x-ray a few days before birth helps estimate litter size.

• Puppy Rearing: Puppies stay with us until at least eight weeks old where they receive lots of love, worming and  vaccinations, microchipping, early neurological stimulation, and scent introduction.

• Temperament testing and puppy allocation: At 6 weeks, puppies are assessed on their temperament and personality to assist with the matching process.  

• Gotcha Day: At eight weeks old puppies go to their new families.  For those going on to do the Puppy Stay and Train Program, I will deliver them to the training facility in Samford.

Puppy Selection & Allocation

Every dog has its own unique personality, so I take the time to get to know each puppy and prospective owner to ensure that the love-at-first-sight, lasts a lifetime.  For this reason, puppies are not matched to their new families until after temperament testing has been completed at six weeks of age. While appearance matters, we prioritize personality and compatibility.

 

Meeting Your Puppy & Gotcha Day

Once temperament assessments are complete, families may meet their matched puppy either in person or via video.  Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes once they are eight weeks old.  A collection time will be scheduled for your 'Gotcha Day', which are typically held on the first weekend following the pups turning 8 weeks old.  For puppies flying interstate they may need to wait until they are 12 weeks old depending on airline policies.
