Guardianship Program
We don’t believe dogs should live in kennels or be kept solely for breeding. All of our breeding dogs are placed in loving guardian homes, where they live indoors as cherished family members and enjoy full, happy lives with their forever families.
Guardian homes play an essential role in ensuring our dogs thrive in nurturing environments. If you share our love for beautiful Groodles and value ethical, heartfelt breeding practices, we'd love to welcome you into our extended Boho family.

One of the greatest joys of being a Guardian is watching your beloved dog continue their legacy, passing on not just their beautiful traits, but the love, personality, and companionship you treasure. It’s a way of sharing something truly special with another family.

Female Guardians

Before any breeding occurs, she must pass all pre‑breeding health and genetic screening

Her first litter will only be considered after she is 2 years of age

All Boho mama's will have a maximum of three litters before being desexed at our expense

Each subsequent litter will only progress if mama has thrived physically and emotionally during whelping

Stay in the program for 5–6 years
-
10 days before the due date Boho mama's return to Boho Oodles to whelp their puppies. They remain with us for 4-5 weeks to care for puppies before they are weaned

Guardian families get to select the litter theme for naming
Male Guardians

Must pass all pre‑breeding screening before being used as a stud

Considered for stud duties from 12 months of age

Remain in the program for up to 5 years before being desexed at our expense

Reproductive vet appointments literally take 10 mins or less
Location Requirement
Guardian homes must be located within 1–1.5 hours of Brisbane and be willing to travel as required for reproductive appointments.
Guardian Family Responsibilities

Provide daily love, care, and socialisation

Dogs must sleep indoors and participate in your daily life

Maintain routine veterinary check‑ups, vaccinations and worming

Follow basic training and health guidelines

Keep in touch with Boho Oodles about milestones and provide regular photo updates

Make your dog available for breeding as requested

Once the breeding commitment is complete, your dog is officially yours forever.
