Characteristics and Traits of a Double Doodle

Double Doodles, are known for their friendly, intelligent, and loyal temperaments. They are generally considered great family pets and are known for their eagerness to interact with people and other animals.

Double Doodles often have a higher proportion of poodle genes, leading to a range of colors and patterned or solid coats. Their appearance can vary widely depending on which parent possesses the more dominant genes.

The Double Doodle stands out as a remarkable breed, combining the intelligence, charm, and hypoallergenic qualities of the Labradoodle and Groodle into a single delightful package.

Standard
Poodles
Poodles make excellent family dogs—they’re fun, energetic, intelligent, and easy to train. They thrive with plenty of mental and physical exercise and prefer to be around people most of the time. Poodles crave attention and, if ignored or left alone too often, may develop habits like nuisance barking.

Early socialization is essential and should include exposure to different people, other pets, and a consistent grooming routine.
Grooming is an unavoidable part of life with a Poodle. They are a great choice for allergy sufferers, as their hair doesn’t shed in the traditional sense, minimizing dander in the air. However, Poodles do lose hair (similar to humans), but their curls trap it, preventing it from spreading. As a result, regular grooming is necessary to prevent painful matting.
Labrador
Retrievers

Labradors are intelligent and eager to please, making them easy to train. However, they are "easy keepers" and require proper exercise and portion control to maintain a healthy weight.
As affectionate family dogs, Labs thrive on human companionship and don’t do well in kennels. While naturally protective, they are usually friendly with visitors.
They tend to get along with other dogs, pets, and children, but early training is essential to manage their enthusiasm. Their strength makes leash training important for good walking manners.
With a strong retrieving instinct, Labs may develop chewing habits if not given proper toys. Some tend to "mouth" people, but carrying a toy often solves this.
Labradors shed heavily year-round, with seasonal undercoat shedding twice a year.
