What is the Guardian Program?

At Boho Oodles, we believe every dog deserves a loving family environment to while also contributing to the future of ethical, high-quality breeding. Our Guardian Program allows select families to raise one of our breeding dogs while we retain breeding rights for a set period. This ensures our dogs live in nurturing home environments instead of kennels while helping us continue producing exceptional Groodles and Double Doodles.

How It Works

As a Guardian, you’ll welcome one of our carefully selected breeding dogs into your home as your own pet. While they live with you as part of your family, they will occasionally return to Boho Oodles for breeding purposes. We cover all breeding-related expenses and offer full support throughout the journey.

Guardian Family Responsibilities:

• Provide daily love, care, and socialization

• Maintain regular veterinary check-ups

• Follow basic training and health guidelines

• Stay in communication with Boho Oodles about milestones and updates

Once the breeding commitment is complete, the dog is officially yours forever—no additional cost.

Waitlist & Application Process

Interested in one of our current or upcoming litters? Apply via RightPaw to help us understand your home and lifestyle for the best puppy match.

 

Deposit & Allocation

​Once approved, a $700 deposit secures your waitlist spot and locks in your puppy’s price. Puppies are allocated in the order deposits are received.

Breeding & Milestones

• Honeymoon: Mating occurs via AI with the assistance of our reproductive vet. Heat cycles typically happen every 6-9 months.

• Pregnancy Confirmation: An ultrasound at four weeks confirms pregnancy.

• Reservation: Waitlist families are contacted—if timing isn’t right, you can defer to the next litter.

• Whelping: Puppies arrive about five weeks after confirmation. An x-ray before birth helps estimate litter size.

• Puppy Rearing: Puppies stay with us until at least eight weeks, receiving vet care, vaccinations, microchipping, early neurological stimulation, and scent introduction.
